Engine mounts
Engine mounts damp the vibrations of the block and keep the engine and gearbox firmly in place. When to replace?
If you feel a jolt when accelerating or lifting off the throttle, or the interior vibrates at idle, a mount has usually torn or sagged. Preferably replace all mounts at the same time: a new mount next to a worn one wears out faster. With hydraulic mounts, fluid leaking from the mount is the tell-tale sign of wear.
