    Power steering pumps

    Power steering pumps for the BMW 1 Series E87 and 5 Series E60, Mercedes W164/W211 and Sprinter, VW Transporter T5 2.5 TDI, Ford Transit and Focus, Opel Vivaro/Renault Master, Subaru Impreza/Forester, Toyota Land Cruiser and Land Rover Defender 300TDi, among others. Often supplied complete, such as the pump with reservoir for the Jeep Cherokee and Wrangler TJ 4.0L.

    Whining noise at full lock?

    A whining or groaning pump at full lock is the classic sign of wear or air in the system. Check the fluid level and lines first; if the noise persists or steering becomes heavy at low revs, the pump is due for replacement. Flush the system when fitting and use fresh steering fluid to the manufacturer's specification — contaminated fluid will otherwise ruin the new pump as well. Compare the OE number (e.g. 32416766190 or 7H0422153H) to be sure of the correct version.
